- Basic understanding of networking, including Internet Protocol, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, and Domain Name System.
- Basic understanding of Voice over Internet Protocol fundamentals, including Session Initiation Protocol and Real-time Transport Protocol.
- Comfort working on-site and in client-facing situations.
- A valid New Jersey driver's license and willingness to travel in New Jersey and to New York one to two times per week.
- Strong troubleshooting ability.
- Deploy and support unified communications as a service systems, including Voice over Internet Protocol phones, soft clients, and conference room systems.
- Assist with on-site installations across New Jersey.
- Configure users, devices, and call flows.
- Troubleshoot call quality issues such as latency, jitter, and packet loss; device registration and provisioning; and network connectivity issues.
- Support moves, adds, and changes.
- Assist with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Room setup and testing.
- Work directly with clients during installations and support calls.
- Document work performed and follow internal standards.
- One to three years of experience in information technology, telecommunications, or audio/visual or unified communications environments.
- Experience with Elevate or similar unified communications as a service platforms.
- Exposure to Zoom Rooms or Teams Rooms.
- Basic switching knowledge, including virtual local area networks and power over Ethernet.
- Audio/visual or low-voltage installation experience.
