  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Hold Registered Nurse licensure in New Hampshire or a compact state.
  • Hold Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an interventional lab.
  • Have 2–4 years of experience in an intensive care unit or coronary care unit.
Responsibilities
  • Provide care to patients of all age groups referred with various system abnormalities.
  • Assess and evaluate patients and families collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate accountability for clinical decisions.
  • Identify, facilitate, and evaluate nursing-care outcomes for individual patients or groups of patients using the nursing process.
  • Coordinate all aspects of and provide technical and medical expertise to medical staff for adult and pediatric interventional cardiology procedures performed within the section.
  • Document relevant patient information for all patients undergoing cardiology procedures in accordance with documentation standards.
  • Implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Evaluate patients' developmental, biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge-planning needs.
  • Intervene based on identified nursing diagnoses and maintain consistency with therapies provided by other disciplines.
  • Consistently reevaluate nursing orders during patient care.
