WAF 2026: Accelya showcases demo of new agentic IROP recovery technology.

WAF 2026: Accelya showcases demo of new agentic IROP recovery technology. The airline software giant has developed FLX Recover in partnership with Amazon Web Services and RapidScaler to show airlines at last week's World Aviation Festival in Lisbon Accelya demonstrated new agentic AI irregular operations (IROPS) airline recovery technology designed to orchestrate responses when disruption occurs. FLX Recover was built in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and specialist IT engineers RapidScaler, an AWS Premier Services Partner and holder of the AWS Agentic AI Consulting Services Competency. Accelya was demonstrating the new solution to airlines last week during World Aviation Festival in Lisbon and says it could be in operation as early as the first half of 2027. FLX Recover was developed to help airlines recover passengers faster, more intelligently and at scale during disruption. Powered by FLX AIViator, Accelya's AI intelligence layer, it uses specialised AI agents to assess disruptions, evaluate multiple recovery options, recommend actions and coordinate passenger recovery from the first disruption signal through to resolution. The technology is capable of working across airlines' existing technology environment without requiring airlines to replace the systems they already use or adopt another closed technology layer. Sam Gilliland, chief executive officer at Accelya, said: "Disruption is a critical moment in an airline's relationship with its customers. "The challenge isn't simply finding a recovery option; it's making the right decision quickly and consistently across thousands of passenger circumstances, then carrying it through. "FLX Recover uses agentic AI to move beyond recommendations and coordinate recovery across passenger servicing, orders, communications and financial workflows, while working with the airline's existing technology. "The airline remains in control, defining the policies, where actions can be automated and where human approval is required. That lets operational teams focus their judgement where it matters most." FLX Recover is built on AWS using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and builds on Accelya's work with AWS and Vista Equity Partners' Agentic Factory to bring production-grade agentic AI into airline operations. When a flight is delayed, cancelled or rescheduled, airlines face a complex chain of decisions across operations, commercial teams and customer service. Behind every disruption are passengers whose journeys need to be recovered, often in real time and across multiple teams and systems that were not designed to work together. FLX Recover's AI agents can assess the impact of a disruption, determine passenger priorities, evaluate multiple recovery options and coordinate the actions that follow, from re-accommodation and passenger care to communications and downstream financial workflows. If a hub departure is cancelled FLX Recover can work through affected passengers in parallel, considering available flights, onward connections, interline alternatives, cost, care and assistance options, loyalty value and the airline's own commercial priorities. Depending on policies set by the airline, FLX Recover can recommend an action for human approval or execute it automatically, with the airline defining the boundaries within which the agents operate. This enables airlines to evaluate more recovery options, reach decisions faster and apply their policies more consistently across complex disruption scenarios. Duane Barnes, chief executive of RapidScale, said: "Agentic AI creates value when it delivers measurable business outcomes inside real-world operations. "By combining Accelya's airline expertise with RapidScale's innovative capabilities and AWS technology, FLX Recover materialises a complex vision into a secure, production-ready solution. "The result is faster disruption recovery, less manual effort and more consistent passenger experiences, while giving airlines the governance and control they need to operate at scale." However, on a year-on-year basis, revenue remained largely flat, declining marginally by 0.5 percent, while profit fell 29.3 percent, indicating continued pressure on margins despite improved quarterly performance. Accelya Solutions has a total market capitalization of Rs. 1,737.27 crore, according to data on the NSE. The stock was listed on the exchanges on December 01, 1999. Accelya Solutions shares were trading at Rs. 1163.9 apiece on the National Stock Exchange; the stock has declined around 2.6 percent over the last five sessions, while it has surged about 4.39 percent in the 30 days. Over a six month period, the stock has given a negative return of 16.20 percent, whereas on a year-on-year basis it has declined nearly 13.25 percent, reflecting strong overall performance. The stock's 52-week high was Rs. 1527 and 52-week low was Rs. 1012.4. Accelya Solutions India reported a mixed set of results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, showing a strong recovery on a sequential basis but weakness on a yearly comparison. The company posted revenue from operations of Rs. 136.05 crore in Q4FY26, registering a marginal growth of around 2.3 percent compared to Rs. 132.89 crore in the previous quarter. However, revenue declined slightly from Rs. 136.69 crore reported in the same quarter last year, reflecting an approximate 0.5 percent year-on-year drop, indicating largely stable demand in the travel technology segment. On the profitability front, the company reported a net profit of Rs. 21.38 crore in Q4FY26, compared to Rs. 13.94 crore in Q3FY26, marking a strong growth of around 53.3 percent on a sequential basis. Despite this sharp recovery, profit declined significantly from Rs. 30.25 crore reported in Q4FY25, translating into a drop of approximately 29.3 percent on a year-on-year basis. This indicates that while the company has shown strong improvement in the recent quarter, profitability remains under pressure compared to the previous year. Margins showed improvement compared to the previous quarter but remained compressed overall. Total expenses stood at Rs. 118.18 crore, compared to Rs. 104.96 crore in Q3FY26, reflecting an increase of around 12.6 percent QoQ. On a year-on-year basis, expenses increased from Rs. 97.50 crore, indicating a rise of approximately 21.2 percent, which has outpaced revenue growth and weighed on margins. Higher employee benefit expenses and other operating costs continued to impact profitability. You May Like At the operating level, profit before tax stood at Rs. 29.53 crore in Q4FY26, compared to Rs. 18.88 crore in Q3FY26, reflecting a strong sequential growth of around 56 percent. However, on a year-on-year basis, PBT declined from Rs. 41.73 crore, showing a drop of approx 29.3 percent, highlighting ongoing margin pressure. For the full financial year, the company reported total income of Rs. 422.46 crore, compared to Rs. 405.77 crore in the previous year, reflecting a moderate growth in revenue during the period. Net profit for the year stood at Rs. 88.21 crore, compared to Rs. 129.1 crore in FY25, indicating a decline in profitability, suggesting that rising costs have weighed on overall earnings despite higher revenue. Earnings per share (EPS) for Q4FY26 stood at Rs. 14.32, compared to Rs. 9.34 in Q3FY26 and Rs. 20.26 in Q4FY25, reflecting strong sequential improvement but a decline on a yearly basis. Discover more Digital Currencies Stocks & Bonds Overall, the Q4FY26 results indicate that Accelya Solutions is witnessing a sharp recovery in performance on a quarter-on-quarter basis, supported by improved profitability and stable revenue. However, the decline in profit on a year-on-year basis highlights continued challenges in maintaining margins, likely due to rising operating costs. Going forward, the company's performance will depend on its ability to control costs, improve operating efficiency, and sustain growth in its core airline technology solutions business.
