Requirements
  • Proven General Manager experience.
  • Experience in luxury and lifestyle brands would be an advantage.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, fostering key partnerships within the business and local community.
  • Refurbishment, rebranding, or project management experience.
  • Background in food and beverage and working on new restaurant concepts.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in driving financial and operational performance, ideally with a solid understanding of local markets.
  • Capacity to build and lead a high-performing and engaged team and commitment to developing and coaching colleagues.
  • Expertise across hotel operations, revenue management, and customer and brand service standards.
  • Must speak fluent English.
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights.
Responsibilities
  • Establish performance and development goals for heads of departments and provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback.
  • Maintain compliance with required brand and service standards and collaborate to exceed guest expectations.
  • Build relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities.
  • Lead capital plans and asset management initiatives, including working with owners to maintain or improve the property’s market leadership position.
  • Analyse financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and hotel assets while ensuring health, safety, and regulatory standards are met.
  • Develop programmes and initiatives to increase team engagement and manage change periods, achieving against performance and hotel metrics.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proven General Manager experience in Luxury & Lifestyle brands would be an advantage.
  • Refurbishment/rebranding/project management experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience in F&B and working on new restaurant concepts would be advantageous.
