- Manage administrative tasks associated with title review, title curative, mobile home curative, and conveyance processes for Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas, including preparing correspondence, forms, affidavits, and other legal documents; maintaining paper and electronic files; shipping and tracking items; updating internal and client systems; and making and fielding calls and correspondence from outside parties.
- Draft, prepare, and format memoranda, correspondence, forms, affidavits, deeds, assignments, and other legal documents.
- Ensure effective and timely delivery of outgoing mail, messenger deliveries, overnight deliveries, and facsimiles.
- Field calls from and make calls to outside parties courteously and effectively.
- Respond to email correspondence in a timely, courteous, and thorough manner.
- Develop and maintain congenial relationships internally and externally.
- Accurately and consistently update the firm’s internal case management system and client systems.
- Review title reports, court websites, and recorded documents.
- Update client systems, including Tempo and BKFS.
- Provide customer service to clients at every level of interaction.
- Proofread legal documents as required.
- Support attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
- Provide regular and timely client status updates and follow up on outstanding documents or services; coordinate with title contacts to complete outstanding tasks such as recordings and retrieval of missing documents.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Law firm experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with client systems such as BKFS, Clairfire, and Tempo is preferred.
- A good understanding of legal processes involving foreclosure and title is preferred.
- Experience reviewing title reports and identifying chain-of-title issues is preferred.
