Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and debugging electro-mechanical test setups
- Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, programmable loads, thermal probes
- Ability to multitask and change priorities quickly
- Clear communication of test results and data verbally and in written reports
- Experience with test automation
- Experience with Python and command-line operations in a UNIX-like OS
- Experience working with robots and/or robotic systems
- Experience with CAD programs such as Catia, SolidWorks, or similar
- Experience interpreting schematic capture and PCB layout
- Experience with PCB rework and cable assembly
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial build of complex prototype electromechanical sub-assemblies
- Conduct design validation testing for new robot subsystems
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes of system failures
- Create test plans and procedures
- Design custom test fixtures or robot subsystems
- Plan lab equipment, work spaces, and project timelines
- Maintain and monitor long-running test-stand experiments
- Collect test data and communicate unexpected results or issues
