ProSidian Seeks a ASL Interpreter | Interpretation Services [CLT007006] for Program Support on a Exempt W2: No Overtime Pay Basis located in the Mid Atlantic and listed under a Instructor Level I Labor Category as a Key Personnel Mid Level Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541930 - Translation and Interpretation Services - DPLH Est.: 190 Hrs. ST | 0 Hrs. OT on a Exempt W2: No Overtime Pay Contract Contingent Basis located North Carolina 28307 Across The Mid Atlantic Region supporting the The City of Charlottes mission of ensuring the delivery of quality public services and promote the safety, health, and quality of life of its citizens  with Translation, Transcription, and Interpretation services.   

Seeking ASL Interpreter candidates with relevant Government And Public Services Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Government And Public Services Sector Clients such as CLT.  This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Interpretation Services Functional Area - Interpretation Services Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Interpretation Services (ASL Interpreter) in the Government And Public Services Industry Sector focusing on Business Process Solutions for clients such as City Of Charlotte, NC (CLT) | City of Charlotte Procurement Department Generally Located In CONUS - Charlotte, NC and across the Mid Atlantic Region (Of Country/World).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - ASL Interpreter | Interpretation Services [CLT007006]

• Provide in-person and remote American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for various government settings, including public safety, legal proceedings, and community events. Ensure effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For ASL Interpreter | Interpretation Services [CLT007006] (CLT007006) Candidates:

• Certified ASL Interpreter with credentials from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or equivalent.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ASL, Linguistics, or related field preferred. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience.

Skills Required

• Fluency in ASL, strong understanding of deaf culture, excellent communication skills, ability to interpret in real-time under pressure.

Competencies Required

• Accuracy, professionalism, cultural competence, adaptability.

Ancillary Details Of The Roles

• Must adhere to ethical standards set by RID.
• Experience in government or legal settings preferred.

Other Details

• Must be available for emergency and scheduled assignments.
