Requirements
  • Candidates must hold ASL interpreter certification with credentials from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf or an equivalent credential.
  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in ASL, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of professional interpreting experience.
  • Candidates must be fluent in American Sign Language and have a strong understanding of deaf culture.
  • Candidates must be able to interpret in real time under pressure.
  • Candidates must maintain accuracy, professionalism, cultural competence, adaptability, confidentiality, and adherence to the ethical standards set by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
  • Candidates must be available for emergency and scheduled assignments.
  • Candidates must understand and be proficient with Microsoft Office and business technology, including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person and remote American Sign Language interpretation for government settings, including public safety, legal proceedings, and community events.
  • Ensure effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while interpreting.
  • Support professional services engagements for government and public-sector clients.
  • Establish, manage, pursue, and achieve annual goals and objectives with documented goals aligned to the firm's global competencies.
  • Support business development and other efforts on behalf of ProSidian Consulting.

  • Experience in government or legal settings is preferred.
