Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, communications, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement if applicable.
  • Seven years of experience in at least two of the following areas: project management, product management, business analysis, program management, experimentation, or product marketing.
  • Five years of experience in product and/or experience management.

Responsibilities
  • Drive and be responsible for the success of a product or suite of products throughout the product lifecycle, setting enterprise standards for building usable, viable, and feasible products.
  • Identify retailer needs and market opportunities and translate them into scalable product capabilities and solutions.
  • Drive product discovery, prioritization, and execution from concept through commercialization.
  • Define product requirements, success metrics, and investment priorities aligned with customer and business outcomes.
  • Partner with customers, sales, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver differentiated retail technology solutions.
  • Influence product direction and contribute to building a scalable product organization.
  • Frame the product vision and direction for each product in the domain with the product team.
  • Define the long-term product plan, objectives, and key results.
  • Create and deliver a quarterly product roadmap with high-level milestones in partnership with the product team.
  • Use data from multiple sources to negotiate alignment and timing for cross-domain dependencies and achieve expected value.
  • Own and lead journey-mapping conversations across domains to clarify product separation while maintaining holistic end-user workflows.
  • Monitor macro and micro technology trends in the assigned space and act on them to maintain a leadership position at the brand level.
  • Drive innovation to accelerate product roadmaps and reusability across products within the domain.
  • Experiment to validate user adoption before making large product-build investments.
  • Lead a product group in cross-functional execution and delivery of a product or group of products.
  • Drive cross-functional prioritization and communicate how user value is delivered according to the roadmap.
  • Align with partners to achieve the value of the product or business case.
  • Influence the strategic direction of a significant product or suite of products and engineering priorities in the product space.
  • Act as a key influencer across the product portfolio.
  • Define objectives and data requirements for product analytics independently or with business partners, including how the product relates to the portfolio.
  • Partner with engineering to build tracking and monitoring needed to collect product data.
  • Develop functional and technical objectives, key results, and metrics, and create corresponding data analytics to track product health and business impact.
  • Define key product metrics and establish routines to consistently monitor product health.
  • Use data to determine trends and opportunities within the assigned product.
Desired Qualifications
  • Eight or more years of experience in product management, product strategy, or related roles building enterprise software products or platforms.
  • Strong product management experience in enterprise software, retail technology, or platform products, with the ability to understand complex retailer needs and transform them into scalable solutions.
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for complex business-to-business or software-as-a-service products.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable product solutions.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, omnichannel commerce, store technology, or related retail technology domains.
  • Experience launching and commercializing products in external markets with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to define product requirements, prioritize investments, and drive execution with engineering, design, and business teams.
  • Experience using data, customer insights, and market research to influence product decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
  • Experience mentoring product managers and establishing product management practices.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Target raises dividend to $1.16, Lowe's to $1.25 as retailers defend payout streaks

Target raised its quarterly dividend to $1.16 from $1.14, whilst Lowe's increased its payout to $1.25 from $1.20. Both retailers reported second-quarter results on 19 August 2026. Target's increase follows a period of flat dividends and comes after a tariff refund boosted quarterly earnings. The company yields 2.8% and paid $518 million in dividends during the quarter. Chief financial officer Jim Lee stated the firm prioritises business investment first, dividends second, and buybacks last. Lowe's generated $3.1 billion in free cash flow against $673 million in dividends. However, the company faces balance sheet challenges, with negative shareholders' equity of $7.44 billion and debt-to-EBITDA of 3.0 times following recent acquisitions. Management aims to reduce leverage to 2.75 times by mid-2027. Lowe's yields 2.4%.

Major US retailers pocket $5B in tariff refunds as Walmart gets $2.9B, Target $994M, but shoppers see little benefit

Major US retailers have received over $5 billion in tariff refunds this week alone, with Walmart getting $2.9 billion, Target $994 million, and Home Depot $730 million. The Trump administration is refunding approximately $166 billion in tariff revenue after the Supreme Court struck down its sweeping tariff policy, having returned $100 billion so far. Despite studies showing consumers bore the brunt of initial tariff costs through higher prices, most companies are reinvesting the refunds rather than passing savings to shoppers. Retail executives indicated in earnings calls they plan to put the money back into their businesses. Consumers have filed class-action lawsuits against companies receiving refunds, but none have concluded. Americans have limited recourse to recover funds if companies don't voluntarily lower prices.

Lowe's CEO warns of cautious consumer spending amid macro and geopolitical uncertainty

Lowe's reported mixed second-quarter results, with revenue falling short of analyst expectations due to pressure on DIY consumer spending. The DIY segment represents 60-65% of Lowe's revenue. CEO Marvin Ellison cited several factors affecting consumer behaviour: customers remain cautious about discretionary spending due to macro and geopolitical uncertainty, plus higher fuel prices above $4 per gallon. Poor weather during Memorial Day and a highly promotional environment in July also impacted results. Despite challenges, Lowe's posted its fifth consecutive quarter of same-store sales growth at 0.2%, below Wall Street expectations. The pro business and online sales performed well, with online contributing 15% year-over-year growth. Lowe's has received $80 million in tariff refunds, with additional refunds expected by year-end. The company is carefully considering how to use these funds whilst avoiding overly promotional strategies.

Lowe's Q2 sales rise 8.3% to $26B, maintains full-year EPS outlook at $12.25

Lowe's reported second-quarter sales of $26 billion, up 8.3% year-over-year, with comparable sales rising 0.2%. The home improvement retailer saw growth in professional customers, online sales, and home services offset weaker discretionary DIY spending. Online sales jumped 15.7%, supported by higher traffic and the company's MyLowe AI tool, which has answered over 25 million customer questions. Customers using the tool convert at three times the rate of non-users. However, inflation, interest rates, and increased promotional competition pressured transactions and margins. Adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $4.40, including an $0.11-per-share benefit from tariff refunds. Lowe's maintained its full-year outlook near the low end of prior guidance, expecting roughly flat comparable sales and adjusted EPS of approximately $12.25. Lowe's Q2 sales reach $26B with 0.2% comparable growth, updates 2026 outlook

Lowe's reported second quarter 2026 net earnings of $2.4 billion with diluted earnings per share of $4.27, matching the prior year. Total sales reached $26.0 billion, up from $24.0 billion in the second quarter of 2025. Comparable sales increased 0.2%, driven by strong performance in professional services and a 15.7% increase in online sales, offset by DIY market pressures. The company recognised $96 million in pre-tax expenses related to acquisitions of Foundation Building Materials and Artisan Design Group. Excluding these expenses, adjusted diluted EPS increased 1.6% to $4.40. Lowe's updated its full-year 2026 outlook, maintaining total sales guidance at $92.0 billion but lowering comparable sales expectations from up to 2% growth to flat. The company paid $673 million in dividends during the quarter and operated 1,761 stores as of 31 July 2026.
