ProSidian Seeks an Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support an engagement for Nuclear Energy Sector Clients The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte. 

This *** | Non-Exempt position currently best aligns with the Industrial Hygiene Technician IH 103 Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive “Jugaad” and dialogue targeting mission success.  ProSidian Team Members work to provide temporary staffing support services to support Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste (LW) Contractor located at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC 29808.  Services anticipated includes storage, integration, treatment and disposition of the liquid radioactive waste being managed at the Savannah River Site (DOE).

Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for 0 and The Industrial Hygiene Technician IH 103 is a Professional Grade position.

The purpose of the position is to provide field support for the Industrial Hygiene Program, ensuring Federal, State, Company, and Site requirements regarding exposure to potential physical and chemical hazards to facility personnel. Functions including but not limited to:

• Perform field industrial hygiene evaluations (e.g., heat strain, chemicals);
• Perform worker exposure assessments for chemical and physical hazards;
• Prepare technical reports; and
• Communicate issues and results with employees and management in a professional manner.

Qualifications

The Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.  Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Industrial Hygiene Technicians working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) High school diploma or equivalent required. All candidates shall have 3+ years’ experience providing

industrial hygiene / technician experience, or 5+ years experience troubleshooting or repairing mechanical equipment or electronics. Candidate shall have operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  The 40-hour workweek schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules. Standard Facilities Access required and a security clearance may be required for this position

TRAVEL:  Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements.  Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.  LOCATION:  Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina

• U.S.  Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
• All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.
