Requirements
  • Be proficient in carpentry, including partition framing with metal or wood studs, basic cabinetry and countertop installation, and door and window installation.
  • Be proficient in interior and exterior painting.
  • Be proficient in installing VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base flooring.
  • Have basic plumbing knowledge, including replacing and installing sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines; licensed plumbers are encouraged to apply.
  • Have basic electrical knowledge, including replacing and installing light fixtures, switches, and outlets, making basic data connections, and diagnosing minor electrical problems; licensed electricians are encouraged to apply.
  • Have knowledge of refrigeration and preventive-maintenance HVAC service calls.
  • Have basic computer skills and the ability to follow OSHA requirements.
  • Be able to communicate with customers, document repair details including measurements, pictures, repair recommendations, and quotes, and work overtime or on call as workload and emergencies require.
  • Be willing and able to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
  • Supply basic construction hand tools.
  • Have OSHA 10-hour training or complete it within 3 months of employment; the employer pays for completion.
Responsibilities
  • Perform commercial renovations and buildouts.
  • Travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.
  • Work overtime and/or on call as workload and emergency issues dictate.
  • Document repairs, including measurements, pictures, repair recommendations, and quotes. Communications with customers are also expected to help build relationships.
