Requirements
  • The candidate must have at least 5 years of documented experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance position.
  • Experience developing and implementing a Quality Assurance program is required.
  • Experience in industrial, government, or commercial environments is required, with industrial experience preferred.
  • The position is open to United States citizens only.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in evaluating subcontractors to verify adequate Quality Assurance and Quality Control capabilities.
  • Prepare, submit for approval, manage, and implement the site-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for Quality Assurance and Quality Control issues and attend site Quality Control and other required meetings.
  • Create Inspection and Testing Plans and Audit Plans for each Definable Feature of Work.
  • Organize and conduct Preparatory Meetings for each Definable Feature of Work, communicate requirements and documentation procedures, and document and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Participate in testing, inspection, and documentation required by the Inspection and Testing Plans.
  • Audit subcontractor and company documentation and procedures, maintain audit records, and track corrective-action resolution.
  • Coordinate testing and inspection for subcontractors and self-performance work with the client, construction manager, superintendent, owner, architect/engineer, third-party testing agency, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control information to the superintendent for inclusion in the Daily Report.
  • Review and distribute submittals and maintain and distribute the submittal register.
  • Coordinate, submit, and distribute Requests for Information and responses, and maintain and distribute the Request for Information log.
  • Participate in document control with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports, manage their documentation and resolution, and distribute the Non-Conformance Report log.
  • Conduct, document, and manage punch lists and distribute them as necessary.
  • Coordinate project turnover with owners, clients, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and other entities.
  • Provide information to the superintendent for as-built drawings.
  • Develop an Audit Plan for subcontractors and the company's self-performance crew.
  • Audit subcontractors and the company's self-performance crew to ensure Quality Control procedures are followed and documentation is maintained.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with ISO 9000-series Quality Management Systems or United States Army Corps of Engineers/Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Quality Management Systems.
  • Industrial experience.
