Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It:
The Social Hub is on a mission to build and upkeep a thriving global community of change makers. We partner up with like-minded brands and organizations to build and activate different branches of our brand, and we engage members within and surrounding our hubs with creative experiences & events.
We're looking for a product management intern to join our Digital Product team. This role offers a grand opportunity to develop yourself, working with a wide range of global stakeholders, both internally and externally. You'll get hands-on with the full product lifecycle — from gathering requirements and prioritizing the backlog, to coordinating with Engineering and Design, to tracking how features perform once they're live. Daily, you will work closely with our Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to help shape the digital tools and experiences that power TSH.
You will join the team at our headquarters in Amsterdam for a period of 6-7 months, starting February, 2027.
In Case You Don't Know Who We Are (Ahem)…
Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, TSH is a fun, creative and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn and play and most importantly – be themselves. As an employer we look, act and think like a hotel, but instead we offer a lot more. Think student accommodation, long and short stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bar and eat & drink escapes as well as community and coworking spaces. Located in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Portugal, Scotland and Spain with several new openings on the way, this hybrid hospitality concept may take root in the heart of Europe, but our plans are set for going global.

The Social Hub submits plans for 580-bed Edinburgh hotel and extended-stay scheme. Fountainbridge scheme would combine hotel, student and extended-stay accommodation with restaurants, bars, coworking and leisure facilities Tuesday, 27 October 2026, 12:35 Latest Podcast Episode In this episode, Hotel Owner speak with Camilla Woods, Services Director at Hospitality Action, to break down the latest findings from their Taking the Temperature survey. Hotel Owner is exploring the rise of the 'accidental counsellor' - why managers are increasingly taking on the weight of team mental health, how to spot the early warning signs, and the practical steps leaders can take to turn this research into real workplace action. In association with The Social Hub has submitted plans for a £200m development at the former Fountain Brewery site in Edinburgh, which would include 580 beds across hotel, student and extended-stay accommodation if approved. The Social Hub said the mixed scheme would respond to demand from both visitors and students. The plans include a fixed coworking area with capacity for 300 desks, alongside flexible workspace for thousands of members. Hospitality and leisure facilities would include a restaurant, café, rooftop bar, clubhouse, theatre and gym, creating a mix of accommodation, food and beverage, workspace and leisure within the development. The site has been vacant for around 20 years and forms part of the wider regeneration of Fountainbridge. The proposals also include a new canal-side public square, while the wider development is expected to support the delivery of affordable housing being progressed by Edinburgh City Council. Once operational, the development is expected to create up to 100 jobs and support more than 280 roles, while generating an estimated £15.5m for the Edinburgh economy. Research by RealWorth found that The Social Hub's facilities generate at least five times the economic and social value of a standard hotel, rising to more than eight times in Rome. The assessment considers factors including local connections, community wellbeing, learning and entrepreneurship. The building is also expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating. The Social Hub held public consultation events in Fountainbridge in 2025, with feedback from local residents incorporated into the submitted proposals. Residents were also invited to visit the group's Glasgow location to see its operation in Merchant City. The plans have received support from the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and CodeBase. Charlie MacGregor, founder and chief executive of The Social Hub, said: "Submitting these plans is a landmark moment - not just for The Social Hub, but for me personally. Edinburgh is my home city, and bringing its model here is something I've dreamed of for years. Hotel Owner has listened closely to the Fountainbridge community, understood what the area needs, and shaped a scheme designed to make a lasting, positive impact. "Glasgow has shown the power of our model to bring students, neighbours, entrepreneurs, and visitors together. Now we want to spark that same energy in Edinburgh - a place woven into the life of the city, where connection and creativity don't just happen, they thrive, and where social impact becomes part of everyday life." The development will also deliver a fixed co-working area for up to 300 people, and flexible space for thousands more, alongside a line-up of vibrant social spaces - a restaurant, café, rooftop bar, clubhouse, theatre, and a state-of-the-art gym. Once operational, The Social Hub is projected to create up to 100 jobs, support more than 280 roles and inject £15.5 million into Edinburgh's economy. Ardian and Rockfield acquire majority stake in The Social Hub Berlin. October 6, 2026 Ardian and Rockfield have acquired a majority stake in The Social Hub Berlin through their Purpose-Built Student Accommodation platform, establishing a new strategic partnership with The Social Hub. Located near Alexanderplatz, the 474-unit property combines student accommodation with extended and short-stay accommodation alongside spaces for the local community. The Social Hub will retain a minority interest in the property and continue to operate it under a long-term management agreement. The transaction represents the first investment completed under The Social Hub's new asset-light growth strategy, which will combine its operating platform with institutional investment for acquisitions and new developments across Europe. It follows Rockfield and Ardian's acquisition of the Blue Gate student residence in Aachen in summer 2025 and represents their second investment in Germany through their pan-European student accommodation strategy. Berlin has approximately 200,000 students, around a quarter of whom are estimated to be international, while the provision of purpose-built student accommodation stands at below 10%. The Berlin acquisition takes the total investment volume of Rockfield and Ardian's strategy to more than €1.16 billion, representing approximately 7,500 beds across Europe. The partnership also includes existing The Social Hub shareholders APG and GIC and establishes a framework for potential future investments. The Social Hub Berlin comprises 474 units across ten floors, combining student accommodation, extended stays and shorter hospitality stays with communal facilities. A refurbishment programme is planned as part of the transaction. The works will include upgraded accommodation, a new coworking area, expanded meeting and events facilities, a redesigned courtyard, a new gym, an enhanced food and beverage offer and a club lounge. Rockfield and Ardian's wider student accommodation strategy is focused on markets including Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Iberia and France, targeting university destinations where demand for student accommodation exceeds supply. Mats Bartels, Investment Director Northern Europe at Rockfield, said: "Berlin is one of Europe's most attractive and undersupplied student housing markets, making this hybrid asset a strong and unique addition to our growing portfolio. This investment reflects our strategy of investing in high-quality living assets in leading European cities, helping address the growing need for well-located, high-quality housing solutions for students and young people, while delivering an attractive cash flow profile to our Fund." Ardian's and Rockfield's strategy is to create a diversified portfolio of high-quality assets, focusing on European markets (especially Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Iberia and France) where student housing is in high demand and short supply in leading education hubs, characterized by a strong concentration of universities, a growing student population, and limited existing PBSA provision. With a Core Plus focus, the strategy aims to create value by enhancing the operational performance of its assets, as well as their potential to contribute to the global effort of reducing GHG emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.
