  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Typically, at least 3–5 years of experience with control systems for HVAC equipment, including commissioning, programming, and third-party integration.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers such as a smartphone or iPad.
  • A valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
Responsibilities
  • Commission, program, set up graphics and communications links, perform end-to-end testing, troubleshoot, and service assigned projects.
  • Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and job closeout requirements.
  • Serve as the direct customer contact, service products and equipment on assigned projects, and identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on-site work.
  • Keep current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
  • Work overtime and occasional overnight stays as business needs require.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical school or formal training is preferred.
  • Previous experience with direct digital control (DDC) systems is preferred.

The launch marks Trane Technologies' first cold climate heat pumps engineered and manufactured for the residential market, a significant milestone that advances the transition to high-efficiency, all-electric and home comfort. Designed for harsh winter conditions, both systems maintain 100% heating capacity down to 5°F and continue operating in temperatures as low as -20°F, while delivering year-round heating and cooling. These systems are also designed to work in duel-fuel capacity for homes with furnaces. The new cold climate heat pumps successfully surpassed the performance requirements of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump Technology Challenge, a rigorous, industry-wide initiative to accelerate the development of heat pumps capable of reliable performance in some of the coldest regions of the United States.
