Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Sacramento occupational therapists get flexible hours: the school role is hybrid, 15-40 weekly hours, paying $47.50-$53.47 hourly.
  • Entry-level behavior roles need no degree: Sacramento's trainee technician posting asks for a diploma or GED, paying $19.50-$26.13 hourly.
  • Second-language use factors into pay: Detroit-area teacher and Troy speech therapist ranges weigh using one 50% of the time.

What critics are saying

  • Expect to drive your own car: Sacramento's occupational therapy role requires personal auto insurance for classroom, clinic and home visits.
  • Insurance-funded therapy needs approval: TES requires a physician's prescription and must document medical necessity before insurers pay.
  • Expect noisy work settings: Sacramento's behavior technician posting lists moderate to loud noise and clients with diverse behaviors.

What makes Total Education Solutions unique

  • Ownership sits with management: TES is a privately held corporation acquired by key senior managers in 2019.
  • TES runs its own autism school: TES Academy in Fairlawn, Ohio, teaches students ages 3 through 21.
  • Infant therapy has a public funding channel: TES is a vendor to 11 California Regional Centers for ages 0-3.
