Team Introduction Global e-commerce Team is a content e-commerce business with international short video products as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products at affordable prices. The global e-commerce business team hopes to provide users with a more tailored, active, and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive stable and reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, and short video content e-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below: Monday, May 12 Monday, May 19 Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26) Monday, June 9 Monday, June 23 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Online Assessment Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in ByteDance's technical online assessment through HackerRank. Responsibilities: This internship provides students the opportunity to join one of our engineering teams where you will have the opportunity to: - Support the building of an intuitive and reliable mobile experience for TikTok e-commerce platform - Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables - Collaborate with PM and R&D teams globally, in a fast-paced environment Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline - Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025 - Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment. - Familiar with software development principles, capabilities, and limitations of iOS and/or Android platform. - Proficiency in Java, Objective-C or Swift. - Exhibit good problem-solving skills and team communication/collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications - Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship. - Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver. - Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications. - Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
