Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, Marketing, or Communications, or related field experience.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and project administration software.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills to communicate professionally with varied audiences and in different venues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills oriented toward resolution.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including personal computers, paper printers, and cell phones.
  • Ability to develop new areas for future expansion of customers and products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn take-off software and database programs.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Ability to develop and improve bidding skills to procure and manage one's own projects.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with and direct the project team to determine and define each project's scope of work and deliverables.
  • Build, understand, and actively manage each project's budget, scope of work, and contract documents.
  • Communicate frequently with key stakeholders about project progress, schedule, and budget throughout the project; use company project management software and accurately document issues.
  • Build relationships with vendors and subcontractors to create more opportunities, competitive proposals, and efficient work.
  • Create and manage project documents, including project plans, specifications, shop drawings, and change documents; keep them updated and communicate them to project stakeholders and participants.
  • Attend preconstruction and close-out meetings to distribute necessary project documentation.
  • For preconstruction, provide scope of work, project schedule, plans, team members, budgeted hours and coding, safety information and requirements, and other relevant information to support the project team.
  • For close-out, address project contacts, contracts, cost coding, project documentation, logistics, plans, hourly studies, and subcontractor performance.
  • Identify project gaps, risks, shortfalls, overruns, and misses, and implement timely corrective action.
  • Provide appropriate notifications for non-compliant work, three-day notices, project delays, and other issues.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are performed throughout the project, including permit procurement, independent testing, inspections, and reporting.
  • Manage requests for information, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Prepare and present project reports to company leadership and clients.
  • Provide an existing client list and backlog without a non-solicitation agreement.
  • Procure and manage 80% of one's own project workload.
