Responsibilities
Demonstrate working knowledge of applicable core systems, including loan and deposit platforms.
Process direct and indirect consumer loans within established guidelines and procedures, ensuring loan details and documents are accurate before funding and disbursement.
Fund direct and indirect consumer loans within established guidelines and procedures, ensuring loan details and documents are accurate before funding and disbursement.
Support the title specialist in maintaining accurate records and tracking incoming and outgoing titles.
Notify dealers and branch staff about funded loan status or funding issues.
Prepare wire transfers and ACH transactions for dealer and consumer funding.
Perform loan account file maintenance requests.
Provide support to branch staff, dealerships, and departmental staff as needed.
Communicate consistently with branch staff, dealerships, and the department, including responding to emails, phone calls, voicemails, and requests.
Maintain a thorough understanding of credit union loan products and policies.
Administer and maintain the Skip-A-Pay program.
Promote member education within the department, identify opportunities for improvement, and promote credit union products and services while meeting or exceeding established member education goals.
Comply with regulations and security procedures and complete mandatory annual compliance courses.
Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Description
The Loan Operations Specialist processes and funds direct and indirect consumer loans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement. This role supports loan maintenance, title tracking, Skip-A-Pay administration, and communicates loan status with branch staff, dealerships, and internal teams. The position requires strong knowledge of loan products, core systems, and regulatory standards while contributing to a collaborative, member-focused environment.

Salary
Starting pay: $19.80 – $24.75 hourly, based on qualifications, internal equity, and budget.
