- The role requires 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming, including the Collections Framework, exception handling, streams, and lambda expressions.
- Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation frameworks, including Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build tools and dependency management.
- Experience with API testing using Rest Assured and database testing using JDBC or JPA.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement test cases based on user stories; present results and supervise defects through closure.
- Develop and maintain Java-based automation scripts for UI, API, and backend testing.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and best practices in automation code.
- Perform API testing using Rest Assured and database validation using JDBC or JPA.
- Track test execution progress and report issues and risks that could affect project timelines.
- Construct end-to-end business scenarios using a broad understanding of business objectives and goals.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered.
- Ensure process compliance and maintain associated documentation.
- Align risk and control processes with day-to-day responsibilities, supervise and mitigate risk, and escalate appropriately.
