Sage is a care platform for senior living communities designed to support care teams and improve resident outcomes. It works by collecting high-value data from day-to-day caregiving activities and using that data to generate actionable insights and track key business metrics. The platform is delivered via a subscription service, providing tools that measure care quality, monitor resident well-being, and boost operational efficiency within the community. Sage differentiates itself by tailoring its data-driven workflow to the needs of caregivers and community managers, focusing on both caregiver performance and overall resident welfare rather than generic health tech features. The goal is to elevate the quality of care and the efficiency of operations in senior living communities, delivering ongoing value through regular platform use.

  • Hardware-as-a-Service removes $150,000-$300,000 upfront infrastructure costs for communities.

What critics are saying

Sage launches Labor to cut senior living staffing costs by $110 per resident monthly

Sage has launched Labor, a platform that helps senior living operators align staffing with resident acuity. The tool integrates resident needs, staff schedules, and budget goals to optimise staffing whilst reducing caregiver burnout. Labor emerged from a partnership with Sonida Senior Living, which cut costs by $110 per resident per month whilst improving care team support. The platform uses real-time care data to show where caregiver deployment and resident acuity are misaligned. The launch follows Sage crossing $100 million in total funding in 2026, including a Series C round led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives and a $35 million debt facility from Stifel. Sage communities have reportedly identified a $275 increase in NOI per resident per month and a 50% reduction in falls.

Sage secures $35M debt facility from Stifel Bank, crosses $100M in 2026 funding

Sage, an integrated care platform for senior living and skilled nursing facilities, has secured a $35 million debt facility from Stifel Bank. This brings the company's total 2026 funding to $100 million, following a $65 million Series C equity round led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives. The debt financing will scale Sage's Hardware-as-a-Service model, which eliminates upfront infrastructure costs that typically range from $150,000 to $300,000 for senior care communities. The platform combines AI-powered life safety hardware with software to modernise aging infrastructure. Sage's technology includes fall detection sensors and elopement monitoring that integrate with its care workflow platform. The company reports that its systems have generated a $275 increase in net operating income per resident monthly and achieved a 50% reduction in falls at client facilities.

Sage raises $65M Series C led by Goldman Sachs to tackle US senior care crisis with AI

Sage, a care platform for senior living and skilled nursing, has raised $65 million in a Series C round led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, with participation from existing investors IVP and Goldcrest. The funding brings total capital raised to $124 million. The company is developing an AI-powered platform to shift senior care from reactive to preventive, addressing falls, declines and avoidable hospitalisations. With one in five Americans reaching retirement age by 2030 and the industry facing a shortage of 1.8 million licensed caregivers, Sage aims to reduce caregiver burden through predictive AI, unified workflows and enhanced skilled nursing capabilities. Sage-powered communities have reported a $275 increase in net operating income per resident monthly, alongside 50% reductions in falls and faster response times. The company will host its inaugural Caregiver Summit in autumn 2026.
