Hershey over Dutch Bros: $883M profit and a 3.4% yield beat 27.9% growth

A Motley Fool analyst favours Hershey over Dutch Bros as a buy ahead of 2027, citing its maturity and profits amid market uncertainty. Dutch Bros grew revenue about 27.9% to nearly $1.6 billion in fiscal 2025, with net income of roughly $79.8 million. It runs over 1,200 drive-thru shops across 25 states and opened 48 new stores in the second quarter of 2026. Its shares have fallen 27.1% over the past 12 months, and it pays no dividend. Hershey's revenue rose 4.4% to about $11.7 billion, but net income fell to $883.3 million from $2.2 billion in 2024 on higher raw material and acquisition costs. Its shares are down 5.4% over 12 months, and its dividend yields 3.4%. The author still sees Dutch Bros as a small, speculative growth holding.
