- Ideally, a specialization in publishing.
- An interest in audio formats and broad curiosity about genres including romance, literary fiction, suspense, and crime fiction.
- Strong reading ability and attention to detail.
- Autonomy, organization, and rigor.
- Prepare texts for recording, including potential adaptations such as processing footnotes, graphics or illustrations, character sheets, and pronunciations of foreign words.
- Participate in selecting interpreters.
- Perform quality control of audiobooks before publication.
- Monitor competitors, including successes in foreign markets, emerging trends, and successes on social media.
- Prepare sales meetings, including PowerPoint presentations and tracking publication schedules.
- Monitor online publication of audio content.
