Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Mandatory experience in the automotive industry.
- Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, including the 8D methodology.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 core tools, especially Control Plans, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, and Statistical Process Control.
- Ability to interact effectively with production operators, management, and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary quality liaison to the production assembly line, providing real-time support and expertise.
- Develop, implement, and audit Control Plans, Standardized Work Instructions, and visual aids for the assembly process.
- Lead the implementation and analysis of Statistical Process Control to monitor process stability and capability.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits to ensure adherence to defined processes on the shop floor.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis for inspection and testing equipment to ensure data integrity.
- Act as the lead technical interface for customer quality issues, managing communication and ensuring timely updates.
- Lead and document root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions for internal and external quality failures using methods such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone Diagram.
- Prepare and submit timely 8D reports or other customer-required documentation.
