About the job

Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience is required.
  • 15 years of full-time education.
  • At least 2 years of working experience with AI platform ecosystems, including cloud-native AI services (AWS, Azure, and GCP), open-source model deployment, and the infrastructure layer required to run AI workloads reliably at enterprise scale.
  • 3 to 5 years of engineering experience with cloud-native systems, and the ability to deploy AI use cases and guide teams in deploying them.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing, deploying, and operating AI platforms and infrastructure, including model-serving environments, AI-ready compute, data pipelines, and platform integration in production enterprise environments.
  • 10 or more years of infrastructure engineering experience, with demonstrable production delivery across cloud platforms, networks, security, Kubernetes, containerization, platform engineering, and enterprise application environments.
  • A track record of owning and delivering infrastructure transformation outcomes inside live enterprise environments, rather than advisory engagements, internal initiatives, vendor labs, or contained team deployments.
  • Ability to connect infrastructure decisions to business and financial outcomes by translating platform reliability, migration efficiency, and modernization gains into business impact.
  • Experience presenting to and building trust with senior client stakeholders at CTO, CFO, or CISO level.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities
  • Embed directly with client infrastructure and engineering teams to design, execute, and operationalize end-to-end transformation spanning cloud foundation, hyperconverged infrastructure, platform engineering, application modernization, database transformation, SAP, network and security, and AI platform deployment inside enterprise environments.
  • Be accountable for production outcomes—platform reliability, time-to-value, adoption, and scalability—measured against business metrics rather than project milestones.
  • Move from ambiguous infrastructure problems to a working production environment through rapid iteration, progressing from validated architecture to production-ready deployment.
  • Execute application migration hands-on through rehosting (lift and shift), re-platforming (lift and optimize), and redeployment, applying the appropriate strategy per workload to land on an AI-ready, modernized target platform.
  • Architect and implement network and security foundations, including Zero Trust, SASE/SSE, micro-segmentation, container security, and application AI governance across enterprise environments.
  • Design and govern transformation architectures across the full enterprise stack, including compute (HCI/cloud), platform engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, network, security, storage, containers, databases, applications, and AI platform layers.
  • Build the data and AI foundation layer by designing data architectures for structured and unstructured data and deploying the AI platform layer to enable modernized workloads to leverage AI at scale.
  • Architect and modernize database estates, including relational and NoSQL database migration, schema conversion, performance tuning, and cloud-native database deployment.
  • Use Python for infrastructure automation, deployment scripting, data pipeline engineering, and AI agent development throughout the transformation lifecycle.
  • Translate technical architecture into business impact for client CTO, CFO, and CISO stakeholders, and shape modernization roadmaps, ROI backlogs, and AI adoption strategy.
  • Build reusable patterns, playbooks, and accelerators through architecture workshops, proofs of concept, and code-with sessions; enable client teams to operate, scale, and extend the platform independently and codify learnings that grow the Forward Deployed Engineer practice.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cloud Automation DevOps.
  • Cloud Strategy and Assessment.
  • Docker Kubernetes Architecture.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Database Architecture.

Accenture caps staff AI spending at $29 a month after $1,000 bills

Accenture has capped employee AI spending at $29 (£21.75) a month after some staff ran up bills of $1,000, according to a report by 404 Media. The consulting firm wants to curb runaway costs as employees use AI for more everyday tasks. Companies are typically billed by usage, like a utility. Last week, some staff were told their access to Anthropic's Claude had been pulled entirely. Others are also reining in costs. Uber capped engineers' Claude spending at $1,500 a month after using up its AI budget in four months, while Microsoft has reportedly cut its Claude spending by about a third. The curbs come as Anthropic prepares for a public listing, targeting a valuation as high as $2tn. Investors are reportedly considering about $1.5tn.

Accenture's AI push: analysts see earnings reaching $10.3B by 2029 on 5.2% yearly revenue growth

Accenture is shifting AI work from pilots to deeply embedded systems, according to recent deals with UMass Memorial Health, Dell, Microsoft and Workday. The UMass Memorial project is a multi-year AI data platform, while the Dell alliance pitches private AI infrastructure to regulated clients. Analysts expect revenue to grow 5.2% a year over the next three years, with profit margins rising from 11.3% to 11.9%. They forecast earnings of $10.3 billion by 2029, up from $8.4 billion today, on revenue of $86.3 billion. The stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 14.2x, against 21.9x for US IT peers. Risks include slower decision cycles in federal and EMEA work, which could curb consulting demand and margins.

Accenture plans $9.5B shareholder returns and $5B acquisitions as it bets on AI reinvention

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) is betting on enterprise AI as its main growth engine. At its Investor and Analyst Day, the company targeted at least mid-single-digit constant-currency revenue growth in fiscal 2027 and 2028, rising to mid- to high-single-digit growth from fiscal 2029. Chief executive officer Julie Sweet said AI will create new demand that exceeds work lost to automation. The company has grown its AI and data workforce from 40,000 to nearly 110,000. Accenture plans to return $9.5 billion to shareholders in fiscal 2027 and spend about $5 billion on acquisitions. It expects annual operating-margin growth of 10 to 30 basis points. Its network of specialised businesses, now 6% of revenue, could double by fiscal 2029. Fiscal 2026 revenue was $74.2 billion, up 5% in local currency.

Accenture shares up 77% from June low as Oct. 14 Investor Day nears

Accenture will hold an Investor Day on October 14, where it is expected to detail its long-term strategy, AI monetisation plans, growth guidance, and margin expansion goals. It raised its quarterly dividend by 5% to $1.71 per share, payable November 13, 2026. Its market capitalisation is about $139.6 billion.
