Requirements
  • At least 15 years of business-to-business marketing experience within technology, energy or commodities, financial information services, or media and publishing.
  • Extensive experience working with sales organizations to lead product marketing, account-based marketing activities, and lead generation campaigns.
  • Experience with recurring-revenue or subscription-revenue models and one-off event models.
  • Deep understanding of paid media, content marketing, thought leadership, events, digital and online presence, and branding.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence-driven analytics, reporting technologies, subscription intelligence platforms, and enterprise software-as-a-service solutions.
  • Experience working in or leading a centralized marketing model.
  • Strong background managing significant marketing budgets with a focus on high-impact resource allocation and cost efficiency.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to general managers and business leaders.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a centralized direct marketing organization for the Energy product suite, including OPIS, CMA, PCW, A2i, and Ecomovement.
  • Partner with the general manager and business leaders to ensure marketing activities and resources support strategic initiatives and are optimized for effectiveness.
  • Define the marketing strategy, roles, and resources needed to support industry growth and target opportunities as the Energy product suite evolves.
  • Use customer feedback and market research to inform and prioritize plans.
  • Define value propositions for product offerings across different markets and end users.
  • Coordinate and prioritize marketing initiatives by client type and market segment to achieve sales and retention targets.
  • Collaborate with central marketing teams to execute and optimize paid media, online presence, and event-related activities for target market segments.
  • Align with sales leaders and organizations to optimize lead quality, pipeline velocity, and closed-won outcomes.
  • Track and measure lifecycle impact from leads through closed-won or closed-lost opportunities.
  • Establish a performance dashboard to monitor daily key performance indicators, diagnose bottlenecks, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate online presence and positioning for different products and market segments to maximize awareness.
  • Lead exploration and testing of channels for promoting awareness and engaging customers.
  • Collaborate with other marketing leaders and business-to-business product teams within Dow Jones.
