About the job

Requirements
  • Have 2–5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or statistics in similar SKU-driven businesses.
  • Have a solid grounding in statistics or operations research, including regression, hypothesis testing, multivariate analysis, or optimization, and be able to model relationships between variables and quantify drivers rather than merely flag correlations.
  • Have strong SQL and Python skills and hands-on Snowflake experience, including writing back to correct or clean production data rather than only read-only querying.
  • Have a track record of presenting findings and challenging assumptions directly with senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Set analysis priorities independently against business goals and deliver accurate, high-impact work in a timely manner.
  • Investigate why metrics appear as they do and continue examining the data until conclusions are supported.
  • Understand SKU-level economics, including sell-through, margin, inventory position, and lifecycle stage, and distinguish genuine productivity problems from data artifacts.
  • Treat data quality as part of the role by investigating root causes and directly correcting data rather than working around poor-quality data.
  • Have hands-on experience applying AI or machine learning in a business context to automate tasks and repetitive analysis.
  • Have strong English communication skills and a high ownership mindset.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the CEO and Product Strategy stakeholders to understand strategic questions and build analysis and reporting to address them.
  • Apply statistical methods, such as conjoint analysis and multivariate regression, to identify product attributes and characteristics that drive productivity, and provide data-driven guidance on portfolio expansion, contraction, or shifts.
  • Identify and control for confounders such as stock-outs, new or discontinued SKUs, and seasonality so reported trends reflect actual pattern performance.
  • Identify data inconsistencies in source systems, including ERP, web, and product master data; correct records systematically in Snowflake; and work with upstream platform owners to improve source-data accuracy and downstream analytics.
  • Present findings independently and clearly to executive audiences, adapting the message for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Recommend and maintain recurring analytics and reporting that provide an accurate, timely snapshot of SKU productivity.
  • Use AI in the workflow to explore data faster, automate repetitive reporting, catch errors, and increase output as the SKU portfolio grows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools alongside Snowflake.
  • Exposure to margin, pricing, or demand forecasting data.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or luxury or home furnishings goods.
