Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience managing hardware development programs in aerospace or a comparable regulated industry.
  • Hands-on familiarity with radio frequency and electronic systems, including printed circuit board development cycles, board bring-up, and radio frequency test campaigns.
  • Hands-on familiarity with mechanical development, including machining, tolerancing, prototyping workflows, and practical lead times.
  • A track record of running gated program lifecycles with formal reviews and determining whether gates are genuinely passed.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering practices, including requirements flow-down, verification and validation planning, and interface management.
  • Comfort working in a fast-prototyping environment where plans change frequently and the program manager maintains coherence.
  • Clear, direct communication with engineers and leadership.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours or weekends during critical periods.
  • Work authorization for the location of the role is required; employment sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the bus system development program from early design through qualification and delivery.
  • Own the integrated program schedule across radio frequency, mechanical, and manufacturing workstreams and maintain schedule accuracy against production reality.
  • Plan and run the gated lifecycle, including system requirements review, preliminary design review, critical design review, qualification, and acceptance reviews, with entry and exit criteria, action tracking, and closure.
  • Maintain the risk register and drive mitigation actions to closure.
  • Coordinate suppliers, contract manufacturers, and machine shops, including quotes, lead times, quality escapes, and schedule recovery when parts slip.
  • Interface with systems engineering on requirements flow-down, verification planning, and interface control so the program plan and technical baseline remain aligned.
  • Sequence design, build, and test work, remove blockers, and ensure prototypes and test articles are available when needed.
  • Work daily with radio frequency, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers and make informed technical trade-offs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Spacecraft or satellite payload experience, especially through a qualification campaign.
  • Familiarity with phased arrays or antenna hardware.
  • Experience managing contract manufacturers and international suppliers.
  • Exposure to constellation-scale production thinking, including design for production rate.

E-Space creates and deploys small, easy-to-install devices that can be tracked and connected globally. Its E-Space LEO platform uses AIoT to optimize data from these devices, turning it into actionable insights and automation. They redesign spacecraft, antennas, and terminals to cut the cost of satellite systems and make space technology more accessible. Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Arlington broke ground October 3, 2025, backing a North American HQ.
  • Beyon’s Bahrain MoU extends E-Space’s IoT sales pipeline beyond Texas.
  • The US Defense Department awarded E-Space a communications demonstration contract in 2023.

What critics are saying

  • Only nine satellites launched by February 2026; commercial proof remains thin.
  • Arlington’s 480,000-square-foot campus finishes in spring 2027, delaying scale revenue.
  • Hundreds-of-thousands-satellite ambition needs capital, spectrum, and launch execution; one miss kills it.

What makes E-Space unique

  • Greg Wyler’s CommAgility acquisition gives E-Space 5G NTN software depth.
  • E-Space’s 2023–2026 pitch centers on sustainable, deorbit-capable LEO design.
  • Its AIoT stack targets direct device-to-cloud data, not dumb bandwidth.
