Requirements
  • hold an MD degree or equivalent
  • have postgraduate clinical training in Pediatrics
  • have completed specialty training in Developmental Pediatrics with certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent)
  • hold or be eligible for licensure to practice medicine from the Collège des médecins du Québec
  • bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec
  • candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families, and health care professionals
Responsibilities
  • contribute as a full member of the Division of General Pediatrics with an expert focus on Developmental Pediatric care
  • have a principal role in the Developmental Pediatrics Program and be an active physician member of the Division of General Pediatrics at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, MUHC
  • provide excellent clinical teaching and supervision to undergraduate medical students, residents and fellows
  • participate in academic rounds and administrative committees
  • be involved in a variety of teaching, research and advocacy efforts within the hospital setting and beyond
  • clinical work (0.75 FTE) focused on Developmental Pediatrics with additional opportunities in the Division of General Pediatrics
  • research/academic (0.25 FTE) participation in departmental and divisional academic activities such as research, teaching, quality improvement, and program development
  • contribute to service activities within their units, the University and the wider scholarly community
