We do this by offering end-to-end expertise across the energy supply chain – renewables, hydrogen, hydrocarbons, power generation, transmission and distribution. Our team of 90+ engineers, designers, project and study managers can provide high-level studies, detailed designs, construction and commissioning support and asset management services.

Working closely with and under the direction of the Team Leader - Hybrid Systems and Energy Storage, this role will support innovative client solutions, whilst working in collaborationwith a dedicated and high performing team. This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Liaise with clients, build new and maintaining existing client relationships with Power clients
• Concept and detailed design (layouts, SLDs, comms block diagrams, P&IDs, functional descriptions), documentation, and management of Hybrid Power Systems, Microgrid and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects and contribute to power generation opportunities including associated asset design projects, i.e., large-scale wind and solar and battery storage, and associated substation and transmission line design
• Timely delivery of services to meet scope, quality, safety and budget requirements for our valued clients
• Techno-economic modelling and optimisation/sizing studies for microgrids/hybrid systems (i.e. solar, wind, BESS installed capacity based on site and network constraints, load data, and agreed weighting criteria including emissions abatement, CAPEX/NPV/LCOE etc)
• Feasibility Studies and capital estimates, through to cost control of projects
• Bidding docs such as Tech Specs, Scope of works, tender returnable schedules
• Testing and commissioning of Hybrid Power Systems, Microgrid and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets including documentation preparation including but not limited to ITP, ITR and Commissioning plans
• Coordinate the electrical infrastructure with other infrastructure in multidiscipline projects
• Assist overall team members with projects and Quality reviews, including developing and mentoring junior engineers

What you will bring to the team:

• A recognised degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (CPEng or actively working towards obtainment preferable but not required)
• Client focus, with ability to provide agile solutions
• Minimum 3 years industry experience - Engineer Consulting experience preferable, with a high degree of understanding of inter-discipline dependencies
• Experience in design and delivery of Solar, Wind or BESS projects
• SCADA and control experience is ideal 
• Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written
• Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge
• Ability to work independently
• Sound judgement and decisiveness
• Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving skills
