Requirements
  • Must be a full- or part-time student working toward a degree.
  • Must be eligible to receive school credit and commit to two to three days per week for three months.
  • Must have experience with photo art direction, desktop production, and fashion magazine advertising.
  • Must have previous experience supporting fashion magazine environments.
  • Must demonstrate strong design style and fashion advertising experience.
  • Must be able to present information effectively to top management, public groups, and other internal and external groups.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including use of a personal computer with Windows NT, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable software.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative design solutions.
  • Develop solutions for marketing materials, including in-book promotions, online and print materials, public relations and promotional materials, online advertising, social media, and special seasonal initiatives.
  • Initiate concepts and work independently or with magazine staff and copywriters.
  • Perform color correction, photo cropping, typography, and image manipulation.
  • Work with HTML and CSS for web pages, e-newsletter blasts, and social sites such as Facebook and blogs.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including reaching out to clients by phone and email.
  • Handle other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
