Heavy Haul Truck Driver
About the job
- Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Maintain a clean driver's abstract, with a minimum of five years specified.
- Have a minimum of five years of experience.
- Drive safely and in compliance with all company regulations.
- Be familiar with electronic logs, including pre-trip and post-trip logs.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Follow safe working procedures.
- Have low bed truck experience.
- Have winch truck experience.
- Have heavy haul experience.
- Be able to load and unload equipment on site with little or no supervision.
- Work both independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
- Have experience with mountainous terrain and rough right-of-way access.
- Maintain and ensure a high level of safety.
- Complete a daily job hazard analysis and attend all safety meetings and daily tailboard meetings.
- Perform equipment walk-around inspections.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems, make minor field repairs, and communicate major issues to mechanics.
- Maintain a clean driver's abstract.
- Work for periods of up to 21 days away from home.
- Work overtime daily.
- Adapt to changing shifts and conditions.
