Requirements
  • At least one year of leadership experience, with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Basic computer proficiency; ability to lift at least 40 pounds; and ability to work indoors or outdoors.
  • Ability to assume low-level postures for physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
Responsibilities
  • Hire, engage, and develop a team of educators who are passionate and committed professionals.
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
  • Use business, sales, and marketing skills to grow the organization's presence in the community and attract new families and children to the centers.
  • Educate parents, teachers, and community leaders on the value of early childhood education and bring that value to life for the children in the center.
Desired Qualifications
  • Budget and financial accountability with revenue-generation experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NAEYC/NAC and state licensing is preferred.

KinderCare swings to $8.8M loss as it closes 49 centres, cuts guidance to $0.05-$0.15 EPS

KinderCare Learning Companies reported second-quarter results showing revenue fell 0.4% to $697.5 million, whilst the company swung to a net loss of $8.8 million from net income of $38.6 million a year earlier. The childcare provider is deliberately closing 80 to 85 underperforming centres, with 49 shut this quarter averaging below 37% occupancy. The company's Champions before- and after-school programme showed revenue growth of 13.4% to $59.4 million, adding 85 net new sites over the past year. However, same-centre occupancy fell 2.4 percentage points to 68.6%, and core early childhood education enrolment declined 4.0% year over year. Management lowered full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance to just $0.05 to $0.15. Short sellers have positioned against the stock, with 13.01% of the float sold short.
