Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, strong email communication, and strong file management or case management skills.
  • Ability to learn client tracking software.
  • Ability to pass required criminal background checks and become First Aid and CPR certified.
  • Valid California driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to satisfy Goodwill's insurance company requirements for driving on company time.
Responsibilities
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and career development support to participants in supported employment programs.
  • Promote social integration between participants and other employees while monitoring participant activity, productivity, learning, assignments, and outcomes.
  • Provide personal and career counseling and behavioral intervention.
  • Work alongside participants for training, role modeling, and participant and employer support.
  • Teach work skills and, where appropriate, life skills using repetitive training methods.
  • Communicate with managers, supervisors, employees, referring agencies, care providers, parents, and counselors regarding participant employment and performance issues.
  • Meet regularly with participant supervisors to discuss progress and training concerns and attend required staff meetings.
  • Complete administrative duties including monthly statistics, progress reports, program-plan updates, data entry, case notes, mileage records, and related documentation.
  • Work with leads, supervisors, and site managers to prepare daily and weekly participant job duties.
  • Provide direct coaching services for approximately 60% of the workday and related administrative services during the remaining 40%.
  • Substitute for individual and group job coaches and rove to different worksites as needed.
  • Assist with supported-employment administrative needs and participant training when coaching opportunities are unavailable.
  • Provide direct and non-direct coaching services to individual and group participants and perform assigned participant case management.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
  • At least one year of related experience.
  • Use of a personal vehicle for work-related driving.
