Pantheon raises $6B for largest-ever private equity secondaries fund, well above $3.5B target

Pantheon has raised $6 billion for its latest private equity secondaries fund, its largest haul of this kind, as more asset managers and investors look for ways to generate cash. The raise far exceeded the firm's $3.5 billion target and was almost double the size of the previous fund, which closed in 2023. The money will back secondaries deals led by fund investors and asset managers, with a focus on the middle market, Pantheon said in a statement on Wednesday.
