Requirements
  • Three to eight years of relevant Special Security Officer or security technician experience with demonstrated recent currency.
  • Working knowledge of Intelligence Community and Department of Defense security policies, classification guidelines, and Sensitive Compartmented Information access protocols.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense security regulations governing Sensitive Compartmented Information and collateral security processes, including ICD 704, ICD 705, and related Executive Orders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high-volume security workflows in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Special Security Officer in controlling access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, including certifying and receiving Sensitive Compartmented Information visitor clearances and accesses.
  • Conduct Sensitive Compartmented Information security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and training on classified material and Special Security Officer-related topics.
  • Support the courier badging process and obtain signed non-disclosure agreements.
  • Provide guidance and assistance in processing Sensitive Compartmented Information position and eligibility requests for assigned military, government, and contractor personnel.
  • Conduct audits of classified material and inspections of classified storage facilities, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, and containers.
  • Research and prepare classified material policy, management recommendations, and related reports.
  • Work with SPARC senior Special Security Technicians, CMG planners, and the DIA Special Security Officer to streamline surge capabilities and support mass onboarding when a surge is executed.
  • Implement security functions and tasks identified in the Contractor Support Plan for mass indoctrination and security clearance management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification or willingness to obtain it within two years.
  • Prior experience supporting DIA or CMG security operations.
  • Experience with surge or contingency onboarding processes.
