What believers are saying

  • January 2026 tender valued Notion at $11 billion with GIC, Sequoia, and Index.
  • ARR surpassed $600 million, with AI features driving over half.
  • Brazil launched in 2026, adding enterprise sales hires and startup partnerships.

What critics are saying

  • OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, and Codex can absorb Notion's orchestration layer fast.
  • Workers turn free on August 11, 2026, then usage costs hit adoption.
  • If AI revenue slips below 50% of ARR, the $11 billion valuation deflates quickly.

What makes Notion unique

  • Notion now orchestrates agents, Workers, and databases in one workspace.
  • February 2026 Custom Agents hit one million builds in three months.
  • Notion serves 100 million users across 21 languages, strengthening product-led distribution.

Notion launches developer platform to orchestrate AI agents and automate workflows

Notion has introduced a developer platform that transforms its workspace into an orchestration hub for AI agents. The platform allows teams to deploy custom code, connect external agents, and build automated workflows that pull data from any database. The new Workers feature enables customers to run custom code in a secure cloud environment without external infrastructure. Database sync, powered by Workers, can pull real-time data from sources like Salesforce and Postgres into Notion databases. Since launching Custom Agents in February, Notion customers have built over one million agents. The platform now supports external agents including Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, allowing users to chat with them and track progress alongside Notion's native agents. The Developer Platform is available on Business and Enterprise plans, with Workers free through August.

GIC invests $270M in Notion through employee share sale at $11B valuation

Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC has invested $270 million in Notion through a private tender offer, valuing the AI workspace company at $11 billion. Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures joined GIC in purchasing shares from current and former Notion employees. The transaction provides employee liquidity whilst bringing new institutional capital. Notion removed the one-year vesting cliff on employee options to allow nearly all staff to participate. The investment follows Notion's expansion into Singapore with a regional office opened in mid-2025. Notion's AI-powered features now drive over 50% of annual recurring revenue, which recently surpassed $600 million. The platform serves over 100 million users worldwide across 21 languages. The $11 billion valuation represents a slight increase from Notion's 2022 tender offer at $10 billion.
