Record daily care notes.
Report any significant client changes to the agency office.
Have car insurance.
Have a valid driver's license.
Be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
Provide housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry assistance.
Prepare meals and cook for clients.
Shop for groceries for or with the client.
Provide transportation and run errands.
Assist with personal care and bathing.
Provide companionship.
Visit places in the community and socialize with clients.
Engage clients in activities such as games and memory books.
Support client goals involving social and behavioral functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, and safe boundaries through coaching, discussion, roleplaying, and teaching.

This job requires caring for others who need help staying or gaining independence AT THEIR OWN HOME including the elderly or clients with intellectual or physical disabilities of all ages.
Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Job Functions (differ based on client needs):
Housekeeping/Cleaning & laundry
Meal preparation & cooking
Grocery shopping for or with the client
Transportation & errands

Companionship
Visit places in the community/socialize
