In this role, under the direction of the Manager of Plant Engineering. You will operate, monitor, adjust, repair, maintain and control machinery used to generate and distribute electric power. You will ensure the equipment operates safely, economically and within established time limits.
You will perform assigned maintenance and operational tasks in a safe and efficient manner on all plant equipment, which includes: LARGE 1.5MW & 2.0MW diesel engine driven generators, 3000A, 480V electrical distribution switchgear, 21,000V, 1200A electrical distribution switchgear, and other plant support equipment. You will ensure the duties performed are within compliance of all local, State and Federal regulations and plant procedures.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- You will perform daily inspection routes to monitor equipment, read gauges and meters, record activities in operational logs, make adjustments as necessary, and report any abnormal plant conditions.
- Regularly clean assigned plant spaces and equipment.
- You may assist or perform a variety of maintenance functions including oil, coolant and filter changes, routine greasing and servicing of equipment, and other maintenance activities as directed.
- Using hand and power tools, chain hoists, rigging gear, and measuring tools.
- You will learn and adhere to Company procedures and policies including, but not limited to: LOTO, NFPA, 70E, equipment start-up and shut-down procedures, plant and facility security, working aloft, PPE, man lift and industrial lift truck operation.
- Provide on-call support once qualified.

- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use a wide range of tools and equipment/machinery.
- Understanding of overall operation of equipment and their interrelations, as well as a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and isolate failures.
Compensation Range: The salary for this position is $30 per hour. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate’s final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
