Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in technical or quantitative or operations fields including significant end-to-end execution experience within a technology company, with a mix of management consulting, Finance, Analytics, Operations, Go To Market, and / or Product roles
  • good understanding of subscription-based businesses and SaaS metrics such as ARR, GRR, NRR, Expansion, Churn, CAC, and LTV
  • familiarity with general GTM funnel concepts and metrics including Self-serve vs Sales-led, PLG, Sales pipeline
  • proficiency in AI tools/platforms (LLMs, automation platforms, BI tools with AI integrations) to optimize GTM processes
  • appetite to absorb data from variety sources (SQL, customer interviews, Sales rep data, competitors, product behavior, dashboards, meetings) and draw conclusions
  • strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills and ability to calibrate communications for audiences of all levels
  • proven commercial sense and ability to connect actions to top/bottom line impact
  • comfortable writing intermediate SQL from scratch and performing data analysis to define KPIs
  • ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to measurable outcomes
  • comfort with ambiguity and ability to execute from vague problem statements
Responsibilities
  • Proactively spot the biggest opportunities for improvement across Intercom, create clear plans, and lead teams to implement solutions that deliver significant, tangible results aligned with our company goals
  • Build strong cases for new markets or initiatives, digging into the data to create financial models that show the best path forward and why it is worth investing
  • Bring teams together – from Finance to Engineering – to turn big ideas into reality. You will ensure everyone's pulling in the same direction, driving projects to successful, measurable outcomes
  • Examples of projects include AI in GTM to cut down administrative tasks for GTM and free up customer-facing teams; Enterprise expansion into the market; Verticalization strategy for Fintech, eCommerce, Gaming; Internationalization market entry initiatives; handle ambiguity and drive projects to completion
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in SaaS or technology company GTM strategy roles
  • Experience with AI/ML in GTM
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills
  • Experience with SQL and data modeling in GTM context

Intercom secures $250M in venture debt to expand AI agent Fin and hire 650 people

Intercom has secured $250 million in venture debt from Hercules Capital to fund its AI expansion. CEO Eoghan McCabe said the funds will develop the company's Fin AI agent and support hiring of 650 additional employees. The customer service company plans to invest the capital in further developing Fin, Intercom's artificial intelligence platform. The debt financing from the Silicon Valley-based specialist lender represents a significant investment in the firm's AI capabilities as it scales its operations.
