Requirements

  • No credential is required.
  • A high school diploma equivalency with two years of cumulative experience, an associate's or bachelor's degree, or four years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, track, monitor, and report on overarching patient safety projects across the organization.
  • Analyze patient care data from multiple sources to identify trends, mitigate risks, and report actionable findings.
  • Lead investigations into patient care events in close collaboration with department leaders, reporting on outcomes and solutions.
  • Coordinate deep-dive investigations and root-cause analyses for critical incidents and near misses.
  • Facilitate critical incident debriefs and track, monitor, and report on the implementation of key safety recommendations.

Desired Qualifications

  • A Registered Nurse credential from the Kansas Board of Nursing is preferred.
  • A licensed clinical background is preferred.
  • Experience in intensive care, emergency department, medical-surgical, or telemetry settings is preferred.
  • Experience with root-cause analysis is preferred.
