Requirements
  • At least 12 years of Medical Logistics field experience.
  • Experience supervising and holding overall operational responsibility for medical logistics functions, including general medical supply activities, ordering, receiving, customer support, inventory management, warehousing, operation of various materiel handling equipment, report development, analysis of logistics functions, and biomedical equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in a healthcare or healthcare support setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical War Reserve Materiel, Force Health Protection, and Individual Medical Augmentation/Health Readiness program management and execution of Class VIII medical supply sustainment.
  • Expertise managing Medical Materiel Information System assemblages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a logistics-related field.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and maintain overall operational responsibility for medical logistics functions, including advanced medical supply chain activities and biomedical equipment maintenance.
  • Oversee the activities of Medical Materiel Specialists at Levels I and II and coordinate with the Contracting Officer’s Representative.
  • Perform warehousing, customer support, requisition, shipping, receiving, medical kit building, inventory management, quality assurance, cargo preparation, and deployment activities.
  • Store and manage controlled medical items in a secure location.
  • Operate various materials handling equipment.
  • Update Department of Defense Medical Materiel Information System records.
  • Provide logistical oversight and inventory management for the 27 Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Response Enterprise.
  • Ensure accurate Shelf-Life Extension Program and Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support statistics and communicate program updates to affected units, Air Force Medical Operations Agency, and National Guard Bureau Surgeon General staff.
  • Conduct monthly reviews and provide monthly reports to the Contracting Officer’s Representative on Shelf-Life Extension Program and Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support inventory records.
  • Function as the Logicole Shelf-Life Extension Program coordinator.
  • Perform program management, oversight, integrated collaboration, and strategic readiness reporting.
  • Act as vendor-contracted Expeditionary Medical Materiel Lead/Supervisor when required.
