About the company

MARGO is a banking partner for small and medium-sized businesses. It provides loans and tools to manage company cash flow. The bank focuses on helping leaders grow by offering financing and treasury tools that fit small and mid-sized operations. How it stands out: It is an independent bank dedicated to SMEs, offering tailored financing and cash-management services rather than broad services for all customers, which helps smaller companies manage money more effectively. Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Memo Bank reported 70% NBI growth in 2025 and profitability in Q1 2026.
  • It served 800 clients and processed 4 billion euros monthly flows in T1 2026.
  • Google cloud and AI adoption, plus MCP connectors, strengthen product stickiness in 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Qonto and Revolut Business undercut pricing, compressing Memo Bank's premium SME sales by 2026.
  • Memo Bank's strict SME-only eligibility excludes freelancers and TPEs, limiting market size.
  • If profitability slips after Q1 2026, its capital-intensive banking model becomes existentially exposed.

What makes MARGO unique

  • Memo Bank is France's first independent bank launched since 1970, with ACPR and BCE approval.
  • It serves established SMEs and ETIs, not freelancers, with direct credit and cash management.
  • Its API-driven model handles 64% of flows through API, unlike typical payment platforms.
