Futurex named 2026 "PQC Platform of the Year" in CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards.

Futurex named 2026 "PQC Platform of the Year" in CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards. Last updated: October 9, 2026 Recognition highlights Futurex's continued innovation of post-quantum cryptography across enterprise and payment environments. SAN ANTONIO, Texas, October 8, 2026 - Futurex, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced that it has been named "PQC Platform of the Year" in the 2026 CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards for its Excrypt HSMs, unified cryptographic platform, CryptoHub, and VirtuCrypt cryptographic cloud services. The award marks another CyberSecurity Breakthrough recognition for Futurex, following its 2025 selection as Overall Encryption Solution Provider of the Year. Futurex has developed post-quantum cryptography as part of its broader cryptographic architecture rather than as a standalone capability. The Excrypt HSM platform supports NIST-standardized ML-KEM and ML-DSA alongside classical algorithms, providing organizations with a hardware-backed foundation for adopting post-quantum cryptography while continuing to support established cryptographic workloads. Futurex was also the first provider to announce PCI HSM-validated HSMs supporting post-quantum cryptography, extending PQC support into payment environments where cryptographic controls and validation requirements are especially demanding. CryptoHub extends that foundation with centralized management and orchestration across supported cryptographic services, including HSMs, key management, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and data protection. Futurex supports deployment across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments while keeping the HSM trust boundary distinct from the surrounding management layer. "Post-quantum readiness is becoming an architecture decision, not simply an algorithm update," said David Close, Chief Solutions Architect at Futurex. "Organizations need a way to introduce new cryptographic standards while continuing to operate the payment, PKI, key management, and data protection workloads they depend on today. This recognition reflects the work our teams have done to make post-quantum cryptography part of that broader cryptographic foundation." Built for the Post-Quantum Transition * Unified cryptographic architecture: Futurex Excrypt HSMs provide the hardware-backed foundation for payment and general-purpose cryptographic workloads, CryptoHub unifies management and orchestration across HSMs, key management, PKI and certificate authority, data protection, and related cryptographic services, and VirtuCrypt cloud services extend this leadership with 16 global data centers powered by its leading cryptographic solutions. This architecture allows Futurex to integrate new standards like ML-KEM and ML-DSA into the environments that organizations already operate, rather than deploying PQC as a separate point solution. * Native PQC support: Excrypt HSMs support NIST-standardized ML-KEM and ML-DSA alongside established cryptographic algorithms, providing organizations with a hardware-backed foundation for introducing post-quantum cryptography into their supported workloads. * Hardware-backed assurance: Futurex Excrypt HSMs are compliant with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 and support PCI HSM v4 for applicable payment HSM workloads. * Flexible deployment and scale: Excrypt HSMs support up to 75 virtual HSMs in supported configurations and deployment across on-premises appliances, PCIe cards, and Futurex cloud services. CryptoHub provides centralized orchestration across supported physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted environments. VirtuCrypt brings these solutions to customers across the globe for improved scalability, redundancy, and reduced latency. The 2026 program marks the 10th annual CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards. According to CyberSecurity Breakthrough, the program evaluates cybersecurity companies and solutions across a range of information security categories. Its published judging process assesses entries against criteria including innovation, performance, functionality, user experience, market impact, and value. About CyberSecurity Breakthrough Part of Tech Breakthrough, the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards program recognizes information security and cybersecurity companies, products, and people across categories such as cloud security, threat detection, risk management, encryption, identity and access management, and post-quantum cryptography. About Futurex For over 40 years, Futurex has been an award-winning leader and innovator in the encryption market, delivering uncompromising enterprise-grade data security solutions. Futurex and LANDI Global eliminate a key bottleneck in payment terminal rollouts.

Futurex and LANDI Global eliminate a key bottleneck in payment terminal rollouts. Last updated: September 4, 2026 New hosted remote key injection platform lets LANDI Global inject keys remotely, dramatically reducing deployment timelines across North America San Antonio, Texas - September 3, 2026 - Futurex, a leader in enterprise data security and cryptographic key management, and LANDI Global, a leading provider of secure payment terminals and payment technology solutions, today announced a partnership to bring Futurex's hosted Remote Key Injection (RKI) platform to LANDI's device portfolio across the United States and Canada. Before a payment terminal can process transactions, it must be provisioned with the cryptographic keys that protect sensitive payment data. Traditionally, this meant injecting keys at a secure facility before shipping, adding cost and delay to every deployment. With Futurex's hosted RKI platform, LANDI terminals can instead ship directly to merchants and be provisioned remotely upon arrival. For payment processors, ISOs, ISVs, distributors, and channel partners, this removes a major point of friction: installations move faster, lifecycle management is simpler, and the burden of pre-injecting keys at a central facility disappears. The partnership pairs Futurex's PCI-compliant RKI infrastructure with LANDI's Android SmartPOS, countertop, mobile, and unattended devices, giving customers a single path from shipment to secure activation. The hosted platform will support the full device lifecycle, including deployment, servicing, key rotation, and replacement, in line with PCI DSS, PCI P2PE, and PCI PIN requirements, including encrypted payload rules under PCI PIN 32-9 and key bundling rules under PCI PIN 18-3. Russell Harty, Managing Director, NAR, added: "Our customers have long had to choose between speed and security when deploying terminals at scale. This partnership removes that trade-off. Devices reach merchants faster, and cryptographic provisioning happens without compromise, no matter where the device ends up." Jason Way, VP of Payment Cryptography Services at Futurex, commented: "Remote key injection eliminates one of the industry's longest-standing deployment challenges. By combining LANDI's payment device portfolio with Futurex's hosted cryptographic infrastructure, organizations gain a secure, scalable, and PCI-compliant platform that reduces operational costs while improving deployment flexibility." About LANDI Global Founded in 2005, LANDI is a leading smart POS provider across payment, checkout, and mobility, with leadership in China, 900[+] patents, and 130 million terminals deployed. Since 2023, LANDI has accelerated its global expansion, empowering the commerce ecosystem through integrated solutions and strong partnerships to support digital transformation worldwide. Newland NPT partners with Futurex for hosted remote key injection service across North America

Newland Payment Technology has partnered with Futurex to launch a hosted remote key injection service for payment terminals in North America. The service allows cryptographic keys, which protect cardholder data, to be delivered remotely to terminals rather than injected at secure facilities before shipping. This approach reduces deployment costs, logistics, and time by enabling devices to be shipped directly and activated sooner. The service will be available to processors, independent sales organisations, independent software vendors, merchants, distributors, and channel partners across the US and Canada. The partnership extends Newland NPT's North American payments offering, which includes Android SmartPOS terminals and the PayExplorer EMV payment application. The company's solutions are designed to meet PCI security requirements.
