Requirements
  • High School / Higher Secondary or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Housekeeping, Laundry, or Guest Services in a hotel, resort, or hospitality establishment is preferred.
  • Ability to operate laundry equipment safely in accordance with hotel Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to follow safety, hygiene, fire safety, and environmental standards and use Personal Protective Equipment where required.
  • Ability to maintain accurate laundry logs, delivery records, linen movement registers, and daily checklists.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Housekeeping, Front Office, Laundry, Engineering, and other operational departments.
Responsibilities
  • Collect guest laundry from rooms according to hotel standards.
  • Verify garments against the laundry list and ensure proper tagging.
  • Deliver guest laundry within the committed turnaround time.
  • Handle express laundry requests efficiently.
  • Wash, dry clean, iron, fold, or hang garments according to fabric care instructions.
  • Inform the Laundry Supervisor of damaged garments or special care requirements before processing.
  • Move and distribute clean linen to guestrooms, pantries, and service areas.
  • Collect soiled linen and uniforms from designated areas.
  • Support housekeeping operations during peak occupancy periods.
  • Keep housekeeping pantries adequately stocked with linen and guest supplies.
  • Assist with room setup and special guest requests when assigned.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests related to laundry, pressing, extra linen, amenities, and housekeeping services.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with guests.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through timely and efficient service.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when required.
  • Sort garments and linen according to fabric type, colour, and washing requirements.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely in accordance with hotel Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform quality inspections before dispatching guest garments and hotel linen.
  • Maintain records of guest laundry, uniforms, and linen movement.
  • Assist with linen inventory and circulation.
  • Report shortages, damaged linen, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Store and handle linen, uniforms, and laundry supplies properly.
  • Monitor stock levels of detergents, chemicals, garment bags, and related consumables.
  • Follow hotel safety policies when handling chemicals and operating laundry equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry and service areas.
  • Maintain accurate laundry logs, delivery records, linen movement registers, and daily checklists.
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and operational concerns promptly.
  • Participate in training sessions and departmental meetings.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.
