About the job

Requirements
  • You have been accountable for traffic, new customers, or revenue on an ecommerce store and can explain what you tried, what worked, and what did not.
  • You have shipped experience changes on an ecommerce or transactional site and can describe two or three changes, including the evidence, implementation, and results.
  • You use research and data to form hypotheses and guide optimization, distinguish meaningful results from noise, and identify inconclusive tests.
  • You are comfortable with analytics, including GA4, funnel analysis, and cohort analysis, as well as qualitative research such as session recordings, usability observation, surveys, and buyer interviews.
  • You can specify requirements clearly, prioritize against constraints, and follow through with design, engineering, and external agencies until changes are live.
  • You understand considered purchases involving equipment buyers must install and use; experience limited to fast-moving consumer direct-to-consumer sales is insufficient.
  • You have strong written English and communicate clearly with sales, agencies, and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
  • Own conversion from landing through completed order and the store experience that affects it, including navigation, collection structure, product pages, comparison and selection aids, cart, checkout, and on-site search.
  • Identify buying friction using funnel analysis, session recordings, on-site search logs, checkout drop-off, pre-sales and support questions, and direct customer input through surveys or interviews.
  • Write requirements, prioritize work against effort, and work with design, IT, and agency partners to launch changes and verify their impact.
  • Reduce buyers' evaluation burden by helping them compare models, understand compatibility and deployment scenarios, size requirements, and reach a human when needed; make trust signals such as case studies, reviews, warranty, and U.S. support useful in the buying process.
  • Build and iterate scenario-based pages for specific buying situations, including small office and retail Wi-Fi, restaurant and warehouse deployments, and camera-plus-network projects.
  • Set a baseline before changes, run structured A/B or holdout tests where volume permits, explain when testing is not feasible, and report defensible lift.
  • Advise on the on-site presentation of offers, bundles, and pricing, and coordinate with Sales so the promotion calendar aligns with the store experience; shape offer presentation without owning promotion planning.
  • Coordinate with paid media and the SEO agency so landing pages deliver on the promises made by ads and search results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working familiarity with Shopify, including what is native, what requires an app, and what requires development.
  • Shopify B2B experience, including company accounts, catalogs, and tax-exempt purchasing.
  • Experience with experimentation or behavioral analytics tools such as Optimizely, VWO, Hotjar, Clarity, or Microsoft or Google equivalents.
  • Experience selling to small business owners or trade and installer audiences.
  • Working knowledge of paid search and SEO sufficient to brief and challenge specialists, without needing to run those functions.
  • Familiarity with a lifecycle email platform such as Klaviyo sufficient to hand repeat-purchase journeys off to automation.
  • Interest in networking, Wi-Fi, security cameras, or B2B technology products.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
