About the Job

Requirements

  • Progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain roles within hardware, deep-tech, or advanced electronics environments.
  • Proven track record of scaling products from new product introduction through high-volume manufacturing, including ownership of yield, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Strong technical foundation in optics, semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, or closely related industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced technical degree/MBA in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in manufacturing process development, yield analysis, root-cause problem solving, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience negotiating pricing, capacity commitments, long-term supply agreements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, reliability testing, and quality standards applicable to high-volume electronics and optics manufacturing.
  • Experience working across Asia-based manufacturing hubs, including Taiwan, Thailand, China, and Vietnam.
  • Strong English communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and mentor and develop teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end operational execution for the product portfolio, including 800G and 1.6T optical modules, with accountability for on-time delivery, cost, quality, and scalable ramp-up.
  • Serve as the ultimate escalation authority for production, yield, capacity, quality, and supplier-related issues to ensure rapid resolution.
  • Translate customer demand and revenue targets into executable build plans, capacity commitments, and supply strategies.
  • Lead and govern the global manufacturing ecosystem, including electronics manufacturing services and original design manufacturing partners, outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers, fabs, and critical sub-tier suppliers.
  • Drive capacity planning, ramp readiness, and risk mitigation across multiple sites.
  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, including pricing, capacity reservations, long-term supply commitments, and cost-down initiatives with key vendors.
  • Establish and maintain dual-sourcing strategies, second-source qualifications, and supplier contingency plans to ensure supply continuity.
  • Own cost of goods sold performance, bill of materials cost reductions, purchase price variance tracking, and long-term cost-down roadmaps.
  • Act as an operational partner to Product and Hardware Engineering teams to ensure alignment between design intent and manufacturing execution.
  • Embed design-for-manufacturability principles early in the new product introduction lifecycle to enable scalable, high-yield production.
  • Build scalable operating cadence, including weekly build reviews, quarterly business reviews with suppliers, and executive dashboards.
  • Implement and mature processes for demand planning, sales and operations planning, supplier scorecards, and quality management.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across operations, supply chain, planning, and quality.
  • Create clarity of ownership, accountability, and decision rights across functions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with optical transceivers, data-center hardware, or high-speed networking products is preferred.
  • Experience working in Singapore is an advantage.

About the Company

Lumilens

Photonic interconnects for AI infrastructure

Lumilens designs and manufactures optical interconnect products to accelerate AI infrastructure. It provides high-density photonic interconnects—such as high-density pluggable, near-packaged, and co-packaged optics—built with in-house silicon photonics to scale GPU clusters in AI data centers. Its products include 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers for AI networking, and it is pursuing broader integration like Electrical-Optical Interposers through a strategic partnership with POET Technologies. The company differentiates itself through vertical integration, custom robotics-driven manufacturing, and AI-optimized production processes that aim to improve yield and supply chain stability. Lumilens targets hyperscalers and large AI providers, seeking to move interconnect bottlenecks from compute to scalable, efficient data-center networks. Its goal is to enable faster, denser GPU connectivity to support growing AI workloads and models.
