About the Company

Hike Medical

AI-driven DME automation and 3D printing

Hike Medical automates the provision of durable medical equipment (DME) like custom insoles, braces, prosthetics, and wheelchairs. It uses a vertically integrated platform that combines AI agents to process insurance referrals and approvals before a clinician sees the patient, mobile tools for on-site scanning and ordering, and in-house 3D-printed manufacturing at a large orthotics facility. Patients and clinicians interact through the platform, and products are produced in-house to shorten lead times and improve fit. Compared with competitors, Hike Medical controls more of the workflow—from referral and authorization to production—reducing wait times and remake rates (from 1 in 15 to 1 in 400 for insoles). Its goal is to streamline the US DME supply chain and scale its manufacturing to serve the roughly $100 billion device market more efficiently and affordably.
