Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to complete the Mandatory Trainings (Training Verification Checklist Coaching and Activity Advisor Staff) on or before the first contract day.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to the North Slope Borough School District and activity-specific policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between coaches and the administration.
  • Communicate with participants, parents, and administrators.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a high code of conduct.
  • Review the Parent and Student Handbooks annually.
  • Prioritize student welfare in decision-making.
  • Supervise student store operations and student assistants, including monitoring and correcting the behavior of student assistants and student/community purchasers.
  • Purchase and stock the student store and maintain inventories.
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow North Slope Borough School District purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with vendors concerning purchase orders.
  • Receive supplies and verify them against purchase orders.
  • Process invoices for payment.
  • Submit the Activity Report and attach photos, if any.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Alaska driver's license is preferred.
