Requirements
  • Strong experience in selling to public sector clients.
  • Experience and understanding of working within the channel model, partnering with channel partners to produce and execute opportunities typically gained over 2-3 years, ideally in a technology company.

Responsibilities
  • Sell cybersecurity technology and services to Enterprise level public sector organizations within the State of California (Northern California).
  • Own and coordinate the sales cycle within the assigned territory and lead a cross-functional team to build and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan.
  • Partner with the assigned Solutions Engineer to engage public sector clients and align Optiv’s catalog of products and services with client objectives.
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders within the State, Local, & Education territory.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with technology partners to generate and share leads and maximize pipeline.
  • Lead creation of multi-year strategic account plans based on client business, technology and security goals and Optiv’s security insights.
  • Build a strong pipeline and target four times the assigned targets while achieving or exceeding gross margin targets.
  • Manage current and multi-quarter forecasts with high accuracy and integrity.
  • Effectively communicate Optiv’s value proposition related to security services and capabilities.
  • Maintain collaborative internal communications with Optiv team members regarding opportunities, requirements, and client satisfaction.
  • Work with multiple internal departments (SLED Strategy, Legal, Operations, etc.) to move deals forward.

Optiv secures credit facility extension with lender agreement to support long-term strategy

Optiv Security has reached a Transaction Support Agreement with existing creditors to amend and extend its First Lien and Second Lien Credit Agreements. The agreement extends debt maturities to support the cybersecurity firm's long-term business objectives. CEO Kevin Lynch said the deal reflects financial partners' confidence in Optiv's business and platform strength. The company plans to continue advising, deploying and operating cybersecurity programmes for clients. Kirkland & Ellis and Perella Weinberg Partners are serving as legal counsel and financial adviser, respectively. The agreement demonstrates strong support from Optiv's existing creditor base for the company's strategy and long-term value.
