Requirements
  • Two to four years of operating experience is preferred.
  • Must adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety protocols and work in a drug-free environment.
  • Must be reliable and have reliable transportation.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license before employment.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, perform physical labor under adverse field conditions, and demonstrate manual dexterity, multilimbed coordination, and stamina.
Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, clean, and safely store company equipment and materials.
  • Check filters and grease equipment.
  • Observe the distribution of paving material, adjust machine settings or material flow, and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean by collecting and disposing of scrap and excess materials.
  • Communicate proactively with the foreman, superintendent, and coworkers.
  • Follow company policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations for safe working procedures and environmental protection.
