Requirements
  • Must have 3–5 years of multi-unit store management experience in the retail industry; cannabis retail industry experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree, specifically a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, from a four-year college or university; alternatively, five to seven years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have CannaSell Certification and a clean police record check.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email software, and use of the Internet.
  • Ability to speak clearly and confidently in business settings and conduct and preside over meetings.
  • Excellent business mathematics skills, including calculating discounts, interest rates, percentages, and other basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor the progress of direct reports.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, provide feedback, and accept feedback from employees.
  • Prioritization skills to use time effectively and create action plans to achieve business targets.
  • Ability to take responsibility for subordinates' activities, remain available to staff, provide regular performance feedback, develop subordinates' skills, and encourage their growth.
  • Willingness to meet the essential regional travel requirement.
Responsibilities
  • Manage sales performance, staff development, customer experience, and profitability for the assigned area.
  • Promote clear communication and alignment with the company mission and goals, and coach employees toward unified objectives.
  • Own monthly and weekly revenue and profit projections and align them with business targets.
  • Oversee Store Managers to ensure staff scheduling aligns with daily and weekly revenue expectations.
  • Review monthly sales objectives and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide guidance to Store Managers and direct reports to support operational excellence.
  • Support direct reports, enhance employee engagement, and drive performance.
  • Build positive working relationships with staff and partners.
  • Lead training initiatives supporting organizational goals and employee development.
  • Enforce company safety policies and procedures across all locations.
  • Respond to store-level emergencies and resolve or escalate them through appropriate channels.
  • Identify deficiencies across stores and provide solutions and coaching to improve performance.
  • Own store and job profitability by identifying improvement areas and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain working relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Attend store-level and head office meetings as required.
  • Participate in leadership training and development activities in preparation for advancement to an Area Manager position.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.

High Tide opens 220th Canna Cabana store in Sarnia, Ontario

High Tide has opened its 220th Canna Cabana retail cannabis store in Sarnia, Ontario, marking its first entry into the market. The location at 1355 London Road will begin selling recreational cannabis products on 9 March 2026, bringing the company's Ontario store count to 96. The store is strategically positioned in Sarnia's east end along London Road, offering high visibility near Lambton Mall and surrounded by national retailers and big-box stores. CEO Raj Grover said Sarnia presents a strong demographic profile for cannabis retail and noted that Canada still offers meaningful opportunities for continued expansion. High Tide also announced it will release its first quarter 2026 financial results on 17 March 2026, followed by a webcast with executives on 18 March.

High Tide opens 219th Canna Cabana store in Scarborough, Ontario

High Tide has opened a new Canna Cabana recreational cannabis store at 3148 Kingston Road in Scarborough, Ontario, bringing its total to 219 locations across Canada and 95 in Ontario. The store began operations on 9 February 2026. The location sits along Kingston Road with strong visibility and limited nearby competition. It previously housed Rockwood Cannabis, which performed well in the market. Founder and CEO Raj Grover said the opening reflects the company's "continued focus on disciplined expansion" in dense, growing neighbourhoods. High Tide also granted stock options for 145,500 shares at $3.22 per share to employees and consultants, alongside 1,300,530 restricted stock units to directors, officers, employees and consultants, vesting over three years.
